Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was awesome. My family came up from Cedar. Which was a gift in itself! I love spending time with them, no matter how short or what we're doing! We did a little shopping, video gaming, spending time at my Grandma's, etc. Saturday night, we went to Pounders Hawaiian restaurant...YUMMMM! & all mom's ate free! BONUS! My parents offered to watch Emma while we went to a movie or something, just to get out. We didn't feel like sitting through a movie, so we decided to just take a drive. Or, so I thought!

We are driving into town, and Adam tells me he wanted to run into Leading Edge Aviation School, to get his book he forgot at class earlier. So we pull in, and he tells me to come in for a second. BUT, he reached in the back seat & took out his flight bag...I KNEW IT! He was taking me flying!!!!! I was so excited..a tad bit nervous. & very anxious to go! It was such a perfect night. Beautiful Sunset. Clear sky. Just perfect. It was pretty romantic, or so I thought. I loved the DVD's and Chocolates I got as well, but this was the icing on the cake (MMmmM..now I want it...or cookies, or icecream... :)

Sunday we just spent some time hanging out before my family went home. Grandma came over and we ate Adam's delicious Mother's Day Dinner. Dutch oven potatoes, chicken, salad, the WORKS. Michael called & we were all able to talk to him for a while. I'm pretty sure he was talking to us for a good 5 1/2 hours! I loved being able to hear how good and happy he sounded. He seems to be enjoying himself, and the hard work he has been doing. He told me (in way too many details) all about his stomach worms. Gross. We were able to talk a little bit about Cocoa, and the difference in cultures with pets, meals, traditions, etc. Pretty neat. He's getting to be so mature. I can't wait for him to come home...& I especially can't wait for him to meet his niece!

  1. How odd it must be that Michael hasn't met Emma. My sister won't be able to see Tristan until he's 3-4 months old. And I thought that was bad! But at least he's doing well! I bet you guys miss him like crazy...

So glad you had a good mother's day! The flight looked incredible :)
