WoW! Time flies! Our little M &M is 6 months old today! She is growing so fast & getting TOO smart! LoL. We had just her 6 month well-child today. No shots (we will be going to Primary Children's Hospital to see a Neurologist on the 24th).
Weight: 14.4 oz
Height: 25.5"
Head: 17"
Doctor said she is one good lookin', healthy, smart baby! He couldn't get over how long her eyelashes were, and her little curls. She is a babe. I know.
He also diagnosed her (which I kinda figured before hand) with 'torticollis'. He explained it as her left side of her neck stretched longer than her right side, so her head is always tilted to the right. She has to do some physical therapy stretches at home, which he showed us. She also gets to visit the chiropractor a few times to make sure she is still aligned properly. She may not like the stretches, but we do what we gotta! Poor Babe! I got to looking back at some older photos and I do see her head is almost always tilted to her right..it's only been fairly noticeable the past few weeks & days.
Torticollis does not have any long term effects. No one who doesn't read this post will ever know. He explained it like an adult getting into a wreck and getting whiplash without ever getting it properly treated (the effect not the pain associated with it). Birth although without any medical complications can cause that same effect in babies. Only, it's not usually diagnosed until they are old enough to be holding their heads fully upright, and can't. It's not painful, so that's a small relief. He said he could tell she was still happy, which is a good sign. She is smart & developing just perfectly.

Almost Sitting!
She's getting fairly close to sitting up...I'm sure a leveled out noggin' will help her not tip over. LoL. Regardless, we love her & couldn't imagine life any different. She's so precious. She's so sweet. She's such an angel!
I can't believe she's going to be 7 months next Friday! Holy cow it's gone by fast!
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a babe, you're right. Cutest little girl I know! Tristan loves her!
Does she eat in her bumbo or do you guys have a high chair?
Both. I like the bumbo better with the tray, until she can totally sit on her own. She can use the high chair, but she looks more comfy in the bumbo! 7 months is crazy to me! Before we know it we will have little one year old toddlers walkin around!
